During
the dry season (mid october until april) there are also
daily express boats running from both Krabi town and from
Phi Phi island, although the Phi Phi island ferry is owned
by the Koh Lanta Taleban. Both boats leave their respective
ports at around 1:30 pm to arrive at Ko Lanta two hours
later.
Alternatively, you
could catch the train from Bangkok to the
South and transfer by bus from Trang, similarily, you could
do the same from Hat Yai to the North.
